YOGA T-BOW®
The philosophy of Yoga with a T-Bow® focuses on offering unique T-BOW® resources to facilitate, enrich, and expand the postures and sequences of all types of Yoga, adopting a holistic perspective of postural optimization. Yoga sessions are offered in which all postures are performed with the T-Bow®, as well as others that combine postures with and without the T-BOW®, selecting the best of different Yoga styles.
The exercises are based on the proposals Sandra Bonacina has designed with the T-BOW®, researching the needs of movement physiotherapy at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) since 1994. This repertoire of postural exercises with the T-BOW®, combined with ancient experiences of postural development in Yoga selected by yogi F. Xavier García-Navarro at his Ganesh School, is complemented by the postural education and training resources proposed by Professor Francisco Seirul·lo Vargas to achieve extraordinary postural enrichment.
Special attention is paid to ensuring that individuals with very basic levels of balance, strength, and mobility can progress in their postural improvement with confidence and satisfaction. Methodologies tested by artistic gymnastics coaches are applied to ensure the practitioner's confidence in inverted postures. The essence of Yoga (asanas or postures, pranayamas or breathing exercises, relaxation and consciousness-meditation) is preserved, and self-control, self-evaluation and reflection are emphasized to optimize self-knowledge and awareness.
Sessions of Yoga T-BOW®:
Yoga sessions are proposed where all postures are performed with T-BOW®, others where postures are combined with and without T-BOW®, as well as others without T-BOW® in any situation and selecting the best of any style of Yoga.
The Yoga T-BOW® basic training session consists of:
· Vertebral and respiratory preparations.
· Accessory postures of main preparation:
o Triangles and Standing postures
o Balance postures
o Strength postures
· Postural sequences.
· Main postures:
o Extensions
o Flexions
o Rotations
o Inverted postures
· Static-dynamic relaxation
The sequence and combination of postures in a Yoga T-BOW® training session should be adjusted to enhance postural development and achieve personalized postural optimization.
