POSTURAL T-BOW®
POSTURAL T-BOW®
for Health and Performance
The T-BOW® postural development philosophy provides unique resources to facilitate and enrich postures and postural sequences applicable to daily life (health) and sports (performance), from a holistic and personalized perspective of postural optimization.
This repertoire stems from Sandra Bonacina's experience with T-BOW® at the University of Zurich since 1995, focused on movement physiotherapy and is enriched with contributions from yoga, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, martial and circus arts, and other sports disciplines; all articulated on principles of movement education and training inspired by the proposals of master Francisco Seirul·lo Vargas (class notes 1985-87).
Postural education in children shares the same philosophy, but its objectives and content are exclusively pedagogical, differing from proposals aimed at health and performance.
Special attention is given to individuals with basic levels of balance, strength and mobility, allowing them to progress with confidence. We employ artistic gymnastics methodologies to ensure safety, especially in inverted postures. We prioritize optimizing breathing, relaxation and body awareness, fostering self-control and reflection to enhance self-knowledge, well-being and creativity when facing each postural challenge.
These options are part of a comprehensive approach that encompasses optimized training with and without T-BOW®.
Areas of application of Postural T-BOW®
a) Hygienic-rehabilitative perspective: postural health for daily life, work activity and the re-education of postural alterations.
b) Expressive-creative perspective: posture for movement performance without injury, posture for expressive movement performance and posture for personal aesthetics.
c) Educational perspective: postural education oriented towards personal improvement for life.
